7/17 – Payton’s Tuesday Afternoon Forecast

After a very wet Monday, today will be very similar. Most of the activity to start the day has been over the waters, but we will continue to see shower and thunderstorms develop over land this afternoon. With all the heavy rain that fell yesterday it won’t be hard to get flash flooding this afternoon. Remember, turn around, don’t drown. Rain chance will continue through about Thursday. Then the upper level ridge to the west will build into the area, which means lower rain chances and hotter temperatures going into Friday and the weekend. Highs will be in the lower 90s for most of the week, then the mid 90s for the weekend.

TROPICS: No tropical development is expected over the next five days.
