6/20 – Jeff Vorick’s “Rain Chances End” Tuesday Evening Forecast
Coverage of showers and thunderstorms will gradually lessen over the next few hours. A Flash Flood Watch for our area will expire at 10 PM. Gradual drying out and draining will take place as rain chances will dwindle overnight. Expect a mild night with clearing skies.
Thunderstorm chances will be in the picture but they’ll become more isolated over the next few days. There is a possibility for a similar scenario tomorrow, much like today’s. More sunshine can be expected later on in the week but there won’t be the same level of heat as last week. A stagnant area of low pressure and associated fronts will be in the area but the best ingredients for widespread rain will move away.
More typical summer weather will be around to end the week. Some thunderstorms could bring strong winds, very frequent lightning, and efficient rainmakers. In the tropics, Tropical Storm Bret will likely succumb to a hostile environment in the Caribbean by this weekend.
