6/18 – Rob’s “Stormy Start” Tuesday Morning Forecast

Starting off the morning with showers and t-storms in the area, and there was even a tornado warning earlier this morning in Washington Parish, but for the most part t-storms are just producing heavy rain, lightning and gusty winds. Areas that see the heaviest rain could see localized flash flooding. The best chance of rain will linger through the morning hours, but this afternoon there could still be additional showers and t-storms.

Any t-storms over the water could produce waterspouts.

After some drying of the atmosphere Wednesday, moisture will begin to creep back into these dry air layers by the end of the week causing a typical summertime pattern to return to the viewing area. Going into the rest of the workweek it will be hot, humid with the chance for hit or miss t-storms each afternoon. This weekend rain chances will decrease although a few t-storms are possible during the peak heating of the day.

TROPICS: No tropical development is expected over the next five days.
