5/30 – Rob’s “Warm & Damp” Tuesday Forecast

After showers and thunderstorms this morning, the afternoon and evening will be wet, cloudy and muggy as a large complex of showers and thunderstorms to the southwest pushes into the area. Severe weather is not a major concern, but as always stay aware. The strongest storms could produce heavy downpours, gusty winds and plenty of lightning. Wednesday will be similar to today as plenty of moisture and a disturbance will move quickly through the area giving rain chances. As the stationary front dissipates, rain chances will decrease on Thursday with a brief dry period for much of the area.

As we go into the weekend, rain moves back into the forecast as the high pressure continues to push moisture into the area. Another front will approach the area this weekend, which will lead to greater rain chances Sunday into Sunday night. Rain totals through the end of this week will be between 1-3 inches for much of the area. Once the front pushes through on Monday expect clearing skies and warmer temperatures.
