5/27 – Rob Knight’s Memorial Day Morning Forecast

We are thankful for all our military heroes who gave all for us all…All the best on this Memorial Day.

The hot and humid conditions will continue at least through mid-week before we see relief. If anything is capable of producing rainfall today it should remain in the form of a shower and will move quickly north in the low level flow. So no particular area should get soaked. The first day of higher chances of showers/t-storms should be Thursday.

Once we get to Thursday, a relatively normal summer distribution of showers/t-storms looks to begin. The normal occurrence of these showers/t-storms is to be about 30-40% daily and develop diurnally. And as usual, there is always the potential that an isolated thunderstorm could produce strong down-bursting winds. But most will simply cool things down for a bit as they move over.
