4/14 – Jeff’s “Severe Threat This Weekend” Friday Night Forecast
Tonight will be quiet with increasing cloud coverage towards daybreak. Temperatures will be mild across the area and humidity will be on the increase. Tomorrow will prove to be a more active day as a system draping a cold front will be closing in on our area. A complex of showers and thunderstorms will develop to our west by midday. Then, it will track to its east into the afternoon. Expect heavy rain and possible strong winds with the activity.
Some dry time will come overnight before the cold front makes its approach. A line of thunderstorms will come with it and affect our area before daybreak Sunday. Expect clearing through the day Sunday. There is a threat for severe thunderstorms with the potential for strong wind gusts along with potential flash flooding. Into next week, expect spring-like conditions under high pressure.
