3/24 – Rob’s “Potentially SEVERE” Weekend Forecast

A tight gradient continues to bring VERY WINDY conditions to the Gulf coast, elevating humidity in advance of a cold front along the southern plains. This system will affect the area overnight through Saturday night. As the front moves east…daytime heating and moisture flow could bring a few showers/t-storms late afternoon, but the majority of weather will stay at bay until prior to sunrise Saturday.

Expect scattered showers and T-Storms through Saturday into the midnight time-frame. The Storm Prediction Center (SPC) has the area in a SLIGHT THREAT for a few T-Storms to become SEVERE…strong winds and isolated tornadoes will be the main threat. Going into Sunday morning, the rain will move to he east with partly cloudy skies to close out the weekend.
