3/22 – Rob’s “Tuesday Morning” Forecast

High-pressure yesterday in eastern Texas has moved overhead this morning…thus the warming trend will begin. A return-flow with warmer and more humid air from the Gulf of Mexico will advect into the region rising temperatures and humidity. Warming conditions will feed a cold front currently developing along the PAC NW, which will move into the region and affect the local area Thursday. The area is in a SLIGHT THREAT for SVR STORMS Thursday with the majority of the energy and severity to stay north of Hattiesburg. The Easter weekend will bring a 50/60% chance for rain as the cold front that clears the area Friday will linger in the northern Gulf.
