3/12 – Rob’s “Rain Returns” Midday News Forecast

A stalled front over the northern gulf will begin to move north tonight. This will bring the warm muggy conditions back to the area once again. Winds will be a little stronger as the warm front passes so getting any dense fog would be a little harder to achieve with the exception of a few marine areas Wed morning. Some streaming light shower activity should remain well ahead of a stalling front Wed.

The front should stall over the northwestern portion of the area Wed and Wed night while waiting on stronger forcing which should cause the front to become progressive by early Thursday.

This should bring the front through the area late Thursday night into Friday morning. Isolated showers will be possible Friday and even Saturday before sunshine moves back in. After Saturday, the only activity we should see will be deep over the gulf. Some of the northern most reaches of this activity could reach the southern half of the area but should only come in the form of a cool rain Monday or Monday night.
