2/7 – Rob’s “Midday SEVERE THREAT” Forecast

The activity associated with a trough of low-pressure to our west, continues to move in and develop along south Mississippi. The area is under the gun for SEVERE STORMS this afternoon as these storms move slowly to the east. A TORNADO WATCH is in effect through 2 p.m.

The activity will begin to taper-off by mid-afternoon as the energy moves to the east…with a few stray t-storms through this evening. Overnight will bring a stray shower as patchy DENSE FOG will develop after midnight. Wednesday will bring a good bit in cloud coverage with clearing occurring late in the day. Cooler temps and sunny skies will affect the area Thur/Fri with warming temps for the weekend.
