2/6 – Rob’s “Gray/Gloomy” Extended Forecast
A southwest upper level flow will promote local warming and a bump in surface moisture today, along with high temps to reach the upper 60s to low 70s for the area this afternoon. A warm front-like north of the area combined with rising humidity will be the focal point for showers and t-storms.
A moderately strong cold front will move through the forecast area Wednesday midday with drier conditions to move in briefly. Temps will fall at least 10 degrees on Thursday as post frontal airmass moves in with a few to partly cloudy skies.
Friday into this weekend is looking to be an active one. Multiple disturbances will provide bouts of rain from Friday afternoon through Monday morning. Uncertainly then increases early next week as models push a front out into the Gulf, thus drying the area out on Monday.
