2/24 – Rob’s “Spring-Like Conditions” Wednesday Afternoon Forecast

Expect sunshine mixed in with just a few clouds this afternoon as temperatures will continue to be above seasonal norms…in the upper 60s to the low to mid 70s.

A few weakly forced, shallow showers will be possible near and just behind and approaching cold front which will eventually stall NW of the area. I’m not anticipating any active weather as thunder will be very hard to come by. Going into Thursday night, a weakening disturbance will ride along this boundary to the east elevating lift through the atmosphere.

By Friday, widespread rain/convection is expected to our north followed by a weak reinforcing pool of drier air behind the departing system which will allow the front to finally push south once again. The front will slowly drift back north for the weekend with low end chances for a few t-storms coupled with daytime heating.
