2/22 – Rob Knight’s “Warm & Sunny” Monday Afternoon Forecast

Temperatures today will warm to mid/upper 60s,however northerly winds will move colder air into the area causing low to fall below normal overnight tonight into Tuesday morning. The trend continues towards a spring-like pattern through this weekend. High-pressure will shape the weather through much of the workweek, with a cold front pushing into the region and thus the forecast has trended warmer for Thursday and Friday.

Heading into the weekend the mid-levels may try to become more amplified as the upper support tries to dig over the western CONUS and a ridge builds over the Gulf. If this occurs then the front will likely still remain north of the area. This would also put the region under southwest flow aloft which could lead to some low end rain chances and warm temperatures for the weekend.
