12/12 Ryan’s “Foggy” Monday Night Forecast

It’s going to be a foggy one tonight folks. We remain in the warm sector of an approaching frontal system, so warm/moist air continues to filter in from the South, adding to our already moist conditions. Instability increases tomorrow as well, meaning we’ll see cloudy skies with scattered thunderstorms throughout the day. We won’t have very strong shear in the area, so no severe threat is expected, but lightning and localized heavy rainfall are possible. The stationary boundary that is setting up overhead will finally be pushed out of the area by Wednesday evening, clearing our skies and drying the atmosphere. Things remain pleasant through the weekend, but skies begin to darken again as we begin next week as another frontal system gets ready to move through.
