12/5 – Jeff’s “Cold Front Overnight” Tuesday Evening Forecast

Skies will clear out somewhat this evening into the overnight hours. A weak dry cold front will make its way through the area overnight. Winds will pick up in its wake tomorrow. Sunny skies dominate your Wednesday with breezy northerly winds making it feel quite cool.

Wednesday night into Thursday morning will be the coldest night of the week. Widespread frost/freeze concerns are not on the table. That being said, some rural spots and areas along the river basins could see freezing temperatures.

High pressure will scoot east Thursday into the end of the week. Southerly winds return and this will reintroduce warmth and humidity. Friday will bring more cloud cover ahead of a storm system that makes its way into our area this weekend.

Details still need to be ironed out but the system will bring a vigorous cold front before daybreak Sunday. Beneficial rain and some thunderstorms will be on the table Saturday.
