12/23 – Rob’s “Warming Trend” Christmas-Eve Eve Forecast
Surface high pressure remains in control of the northern Gulf coast, with a broad center/axis extending from across SE LA, northeast into MS/AL and central TN. The surface high starts to drift just to our east today, building more into the Carolinas/mid-Atlantic states helping to steadily switch light winds from the southeast. This will help to drag a slow increase in surface dew-points.
Going into tonight/early Friday, the same surface high won’t really moves much and stays in place over the Carolinas. With the low-level moisture, dense morning fog will become a factor Saturday with a few afternoon clouds developing Christmas Eve afternoon and again through the weekend. The extended pattern will bring above seasonal temperatures and sunshine.
