12/20 – Jeff Vorick’s “Clearing” Wednesday Evening Forecast
Skies clear out this evening which will help temperatures plummet again. Despite the overall moderating trend being underway, it will be a cold night again with some spots in the 30s tomorrow morning. Your Thursday will bring more sunshine and temperatures near seasonal averages. Winds could achieve a light breeze by the afternoon.Southerly flow becomes more prominent for the end of the week. This brings in milder air which will mean that Friday will be a few degrees warmer overall, especially out the door. Cloud cover will be more present Friday through the weekend.
Rain chances will also become a factor with a 20% chance Friday. A train of storm systems makes their way into South Mississippi this weekend into early next week. Timing is becoming clearer as we get closer to the weekend. Friday and Saturday will bring isolated rain chances of 20-30%. Christmas Eve into Christmas Day brings more widespread coverage of potentially heavy rain. Thunderstorms are possible with a cold front that arrives Monday.
