12/2 – Rob’s “Warming Trend” Afternoon Forecast

Near normal temperatures will return this afternoon with dry conditions continuing. A slow moving cold front west will move into and through the area Thursday/night bringing rain and a few t-storms. No freezing temperatures expected this round with lows holding in the upper 30s Friday night in the typically cooler forecast locations. As a result dry conditions with a slow warming trend will result by Saturday afternoon.

The extended period will be a dry as another surge of cold air arrives Monday. Upper level high-pressure will move over the western to central Gulf States by Tuesday to align with surface high pressure to maintain strong subsidence dryness through middle of next week. Temperatures should remain on the cooler side of normal for the duration but above freeze concerns.
