12/12 – Payton’s Wednesday Afternoon Forecast
Sunny skies are leaving us today as upper level clouds move in from the west. This is ahead of our next story system, which bring rain chances over the next few days. By tonight enough moisture will move in that we could see one or two showers, but the bulk of the activity will hold off until tomorrow afternoon into the evening. At the moment it appears there could be enough ingredients to support one or two strong to severe t-storms tomorrow evening. The chances of seeing rain are likely, but the chances of seeing a severe thunderstorm are pretty low. The main threat will be gusty winds and an isolated tornadoes. By Friday the upper level low will be slow to move out so rain and clouds will stick around for Friday and even Saturday morning. By Saturday afternoon the clouds should start to break down and the sun will start to come out. Going into next week it’s looking slightly warmer and drier.
