Some dry time will be around this afternoon and you may even find a few breaks in the cloud cover. Rain chances begin to come back into play this evening as multiple disturbances are riding along a slowing cold front. Coverage of rain fills in overnight as thunderstorms with heavy rain move through the area.

This activity will persist through a lot of your Saturday morning. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are still on the table through the afternoon and evening tomorrow. The cold front will move through South Mississippi Sunday morning which will mark the end of the unsettled period.
