11/13 – Jeff’s “Unsettled” Monday Afternoon Forecast
Coverage of rainfall will pick up this afternoon through the evening. Rainfall will be fairly light and steady through about the next 18 hours or so. Tomorrow will be a washout with some pockets of heavier rainfall at times. Winds will pick up this afternoon and stay elevated through the middle of the week.
The feature responsible for the unsettled pattern is an area of low pressure moving along the Gulf Coast. It will remain along the Northern Gulf Coast through Thursday before finally pulling away. Dreary and blustery conditions stick around through at least Wednesday. Rainfall amounts could add up to over 4 inches for some localized areas.
Due to elevated winds, a Coastal Flood Warning will go into effect for Coastal Harrison and Hancock County. It goes into effect tonight and carries through Thursday morning for the potential of 1 to 3 feet of water above normally dry ground. Typical low-lying spots could have issues. A Small Craft Advisory is in effect on the water until 12 PM tomorrow, with a Gale Warning in its place from that point until 12 PM Wednesday.
