10/20 Ryan’s “Cold Front” Thursday Night Forecast

We’ve been talking about tonight’s cold front and the changes to our weather for the last week or so and they’re finally here…almost. The front is just now beginning to push in to central Pearl River Co. and will continue marching across the area over the next few hours. I’ve timed the front’s passage through Gulfport to right around midnight and it looks like that will be correct. Cooler, drier air will begin filtering in right away which which will drop our afternoon high by about 10 degrees, down to 77 for Friday. Conditions continue to improve into Saturday, which will have a high near 72. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night will be quite chilly though, dropping near 50 along the coast with the inland areas falling into the 40s. As the ridge continues so strengthen through the start of the work week, we’ll see our temps slowly climbing back into the low 80s by Wednesday.

Disturbance one continues to show signs of gradual organization, but is expected to have no Gulf Coast impact.
