1/26 – Jeff’s “Thunderstorms Early Saturday” Weekend Forecast
Rain chances early this evening will be put to bed temporarily while fog has the possibility of forming again. A Dense Fog Advisory will be in effect from 6 PM tonight through 10 AM tomorrow. Patches of dense fog will likely be present through much of the night, until winds elevate.
The main issue becomes a round of thunderstorms for the first part of Saturday. A squall line will be moving east along the Gulf Coast tomorrow morning. This has our area under a Level 1 of 5 threat for severe thunderstorms due to the potential for damaging wind gusts, and the very isolated chance of a tornado. The inclement weather will be out of the area by Noon Saturday and any plans should go off without a hitch tomorrow afternoon.
A cold front will bring a change back to chilly mornings and mild afternoons for the second half of this weekend and much of next week. Rain chances will also be be put to bed for the extended forecast.
