1/19 – Jeff’s “Hard Freeze Warning/FRIGID” Weekend Forecast
A cool and windy day turns into a frigid and windy overnight. A Hard Freeze WARNING is in effect tonight from Midnight – 9 AM, and the same holds true for Saturday night into Sunday. Wind chills will also be dangerous with it feeling like the teens for most of us, a Wind Chill Advisory will be in effect from Midnight – 9 AM as well.
Be sure to protect the 4 Ps including bringing in pets & plants, protecting pipes, and checking on neighbors. Saturday will feature lots of sunshine and breezy conditions with 40s feeling absolutely chilly. Sunday will be a tad warmer with some clouds moving in. Freezing concerns should be put to bed by Sunday night.
Next week will bring a significant change to the Mississippi Coast. Warmer than average temperatures will be present but we will pay for it with an unsettled pattern. Rain chances begin as soon as late Monday. Several disturbances in the pattern will provide for waves of rainfall at times next week with the most impactful rain Thursday into Friday with a cold front.
