1/17 – Rob’s “Cooler & Breezy” Friday Morning Forecast

A weak cold front slipped to the south last night with minimal impacts. Elevated winds and cooler temperatures make for a pleasant start on this Friday morning with fog-free conditions. The air mass will begin to modify as temperatures will climb back into the 70s Saturday. An approaching cold front will bring spotty rain overnight with winds gusting into the upper teens and low 20 mph range tonight through Sunday. The cold front will bring scattered rain with isolated t-storms Saturday into Saturday evening before the front and activity pushes SE.

The big concern is at or below freezing temperatures possible early next week…

A deepening though early next week will bring colder air from the north causing a steep drop in temperatures and looks like it will stick around through mid-week. Getting near the end of the week has the start of potentially heavy rainfall for the area.
