09/07 Ryan’s “Wonderful Wednesday Afternoon” Forecast
What a wonderful Wednesday afternoon we’ve had today! The good news is that it will last a few more days, while the bad news is that it won’t last forever. High pressure continues to build in from the East and pushes the “back door cold front” which caused our rainy conditions yesterday into Louisiana. Expect nearly cloudless skies and almost no chance of rain through the start of the weekend. Around Saturday, moisture associated with a tropical wave moving across the Gulf will begin to filter into the area, bringing us back to our “normal” cloud cover, humidity levels, and afternoon shower chances as we begin next week.
The tropics were cleared out by the NHC today, leaving only one tropical disturbance in the Atlantic. This wave is still South of the Cabo Verde islands, and will likely be a tropical system by the weekend. We’ll continue to monitor its development in the coming days.
