09/05 Ryan’s “Post Gordon” Wednesday Evening Forecast

Tropical Storm Gordon barely touched South Mississippi last night, but it will bring rain to the area for another day. Gordon’s “moisture conveyor belt” feeding it on the Southeastern side is being pulled overhead has the storm continues pushing inland. This means as Gordon pushes inland into Arkansas and eventually Missouri, tropical moisture will combine with daytime heating to produce a decent amount of showers and thunderstorms.

The good news is that’ll be the last significant rain we’ll see for the rest of the week and the weekend, but the bad is even our drier days will see a “typical” amount of afternoon showers.

The weekend is looking at least partly sunny and a little hotter with afternoon highs returning to the low 90s. This trend continues for the foreseeable future, with a slight increase in rain chances on Monday and Tuesday (up to 40%) being the only change.
