07/18 Ryan’s “Flash Flood” Wednesday Evening Forecast

A flash flood warning was issued halfway through the show as yet another thunderstorm moved into Gulfport just before 6 PM. Since we’ve already seen several inches of rain over the last few days there is a definite risk of standing water over roadways, so be careful while travelling later tonight.

We have one more rainy day ahead before much drier conditions move in.

There’s a fairly significant trade off though, as the clearer skies and additional sunshine will bring in considerably warmer temperatures. We’ve been lingering in the low 90s, but Friday’s high will rise to 94, and I’m expecting it to climb to 97 by Sunday. Factor in the humidity and we’ll be looking at heat indices in excess of 110 degrees, and heat advisories will likely be issued.

This weekend will be full of events like the “Blues over Biloxi” Blue Angel stunt show on Saturday and a Shuckers game every day, so please enjoy yourselves but be safe while you do so.

Hydrate, seek shade, and take plenty of breaks!
