07/17 Ryan’s “Dry Trend” Friday Evening Forecast

Still hot and humid today, but with far less rain as we begin a dry trend that’ll take us into next week. Expect another very similar night to the last several ahead with a low in the mid 70s and clearing skies. Other than having fewer afternoon showers, not much changes tomorrow either, so expect another hot and humid afternoon. No rain means no afternoon cooling, so we won’t see much relief from the heat.

Heat indices will stay just south of “Heat Advisory” levels, but can still be dangerous with long-term exposure.

Remember to hydrate frequently, seek shade whenever possible, and take breaks if you begin to feel overwhelmed. This dry trend lasts through Sunday, so expect things to get back to “normal” by the start of the week. That means around a 30% chance of afternoon showers and highs in the low 90s with mostly sunny skies. It won’t be until the middle of next week anything more significant arrives, which right now is a 60% chance of thunderstorms on Thursday as a weak wave passes by.
