06/30 Ryan’s “No Change” Tuesday Evening Forecast

No major changes to the forecast today as an exceptionally hot and humid airmass remains in South MS for the foreseeable future. Tonight’s low lingers where the last several nights have been with a low near 79 and partly cloudy skies. Tomorrow warms up a little, bringing the high up to 93 degrees.

Expect light cloud cover and only isolated showers during the afternoon as our “drier” trend continues.

The high humidity will bring heat indices into the triple digits, but still just south of Heat Advisory levels. Wouldn’t surprise me to see some of those in the days ahead, but thankfully rain chances do start trending upwards.

Rain will keep localized areas cooler with rain-cooled air, but showers will be hard to find until Friday.

By then an upper level wave will move in, bumping shower/t-storm chances from “possible” to “likely.” As next week rolls around the rain and clouds dry up some, but afternoon showers are still the norm.
