05/11 Ryan’s “Mother’s Day Weekend” Friday Evening Forecast

Expect the beautiful weather to continue as we head into Mother’s Day weekend. The weather will remain hot and humid, but will continue to become more so as next week rolls around. By Mother’s Day even the waterfront areas will be rising back into the lower 90s, and cloud cover will remain rather light. It’s around this time that we’ll start seeing the return of our “Summer” showers. As the inland area heats faster than the coastline, a thermal low will develop which will lead to the formation of a sea breeze. This “front” will move inland and could provide the lift necessary for a warm pocket of air to rise, condense, and create a shower during the hottest part of the day. I don’t expect many of these through the weekend, but by mid-next week they’ll be much more likely.
