05/07 Ryan’s “Dry for Now” Thursday Night Forecast

It’s still going to cool and dry tonight, but that’ll change rapidly tomorrow. Tonight’s low only rises slightly from last nights, up to 59 degrees with light southerly winds.

The humidity will remain low through the night and into tomorrow morning, but it’ll increase dramatically into the afternoon.

That’s due to an approaching front, which does carry the chance of thunderstorms into South MS. We’re currently under a “marginal” risk for severe weather, but the “slight” level is creeping closer. Expect this to occur around 4 PM, as the outflow boundary brings a line of storms to the Coast. The front itself won’t pass through until later that night, and we’ll likely be left with clear skies after midnight. That means Mother’s Day and the start to next week will be dry, sunny, and cooler.
