05/04 Ryan’s “May the Fourth” Friday Evening Forecast

Happy “May the Fourth” aka Star Wars day, South Mississippi! It was another early “summer-like” day this afternoon with temperatures still in the 80s, but much lighter wind. Our skies won’t have star ships flying about, or an epic space battle, but we will see more and more clouds moving in from the West a cold front moves in. This front will bring a few showers in the afternoon, but not severe weather or even strong thunderstorms. The cloud cover will linger through most of the day and will begin to clear rapidly by Sunday. Temperatures will not drop with this front. It’s called a cold front, and it technically is, but the main impacts will be a wind shift (West to Northwest) and drier air moving in. These sunny, warm, and drier conditions continue through much of next week, but the humidity returns by the weekend.
