04/28 Ryan’s “Severe Thunderstorm” Tuesday Night Forecast

Rain is finally falling, but a severe thunderstorm warning was issued earlier for South Mississippi. Tonight’s low will fall to 69 degrees with increasing clouds and isolated showers. Tomorrow’s high will slightly rise, but only to 79 degrees under cloudy skies and strong thunderstorms. While we’ve already seen a severe warning issues, the stronger activity will wait until the front catches up tomorrow.

THESE STORMS WILL MOVE THROUGH IN A NARROW, INTENSE BAND IN THE LATE MORNING HOURS, LIKELY AROUND 9 AM.

South MS is under a “slight” risk of severe weather with this system meaning small hail, strong winds, and isolated, short-lived tornadoes are possible. We will continue to monitor the situation as always and update as needed. After Wednesday’s front expect to see nothing but sunshine and drier air for the rest of the week.
