04/16 Ryan’s “Subtle Change” Thursday Night Forecast

Today was another basically perfect day in South MS, but we are seeing some subtle change. The humidity is still very low by our standards, but did increase from yesterday. Today’s high also rose, but only by a couple of degrees.

THAT MEANS TONIGHT WILL BE WARMER AS WELL, LOW CLIMBING TO NEAR 57 ON THE COASTLINE.

Winds will be much calmer than recent nights, and will remain southerly. The temperature rises more significantly for tomorrow afternoon, high now up to 77 degrees under increasingly cloudy skies. The clouds continue to gather into the weekend, and scattered showers will become more and more likely through Saturday. Sunday’s forecast has changed a bit.

INITIALLY IT LOOKED LIKE THE DEVELOPING LOW WOULD BE PULLED SOUTH OF US, BUT NOW IT WILL BE FURTHER NORTH AND WEST.

This means our isolated thunderstorm chances from yesterday have increased into a potentially severe situation. Stay tuned to WXXV News 25 for the latest. Afterwards, expect sunny skies and lower humidity, but not as low as we saw this week.
