03/07 Ryan’s “Stormy night” Tuesday Evening Forecast

The weather was downright stormy earlier tonight as the outflow boundary associated with a cold front moved through the area. We had a “marginal” chance of severe weather, but other than a short lived “Severe Thunderstorm” warning due to some weak rotation, we didn’t see anything other than heavy rains and lightning. As tonight’s last show ends there are still a few showers over the six coastal counties, but the rain will end momentarily and skies will begin to clear during the early morning hours. Don’t expect drastic cooling behind this front since temperatures will only drop around 4-5 degrees, but humidity values will be significantly lower so the air will feel “lighter.” Don’t expect these cooler conditions to last long though, we’ll be back into the mid 70s by Friday, and disorganized showers will begin moving back in by then. The weather pattern will continue to push these weak boundaries through the area throughout most of the weekend, so expect a weekend full of pop-up scattered showers after a few days of clearer skies. Temperatures seem to be trending downward as next week begins, but only barely into the upper 60s…again.
