03/08 Ryan’s “Gloomy” Friday Evening Forecast

The skies may be gloomy but the rain stays away a bit longer. The temperature and humidity rise into Sunday as a front moves in, but don’t expect much cooling after. This front is bringing a “marginal” threat for severe weather for Sunday morning, but the metrics aren’t impressive.

This front moves in, almost through, but then stalls right along the coastline.

That means instead of an influx of cool, dry air we’ll only see a 2-3 degree cool-down and almost no airmass change. So the rain will come and go, but the gloomy skies are in it for the long haul. Temperatures will rise into the mid 70s by Sunday, but only fall back into the lower 70s after the front passes. We’ll slowly begin warming into the mid 70s again by Wednesday, but we’ll have to wait until next Friday after another round of thunderstorms for any significant cooling and clearing.
