01/10 Ryan’s “More Fog…” Wednesday Evening Forecast

The fog lifted late this morning, but will return quickly as we head through the overnight hours. Dense Fog Advisories have already been issued for Harrison, Hancock, and Jackson Counties, and it wouldn’t surprise me to see more inland though only patchy fog is expected at the moment. Temperatures have continued to warm and we rose into the low 70s a day earlier than I expected, which means tomorrow will be another afternoon in the low-to-mid 70s with high humidity. Relief from these humid conditions and fog is on the way, and will be arriving in the form of a significant cold front between Thursday night and Friday afternoon. This front will bring showers and a few isolated t-storms, but no severe weather is expected right now. Daytime temperatures quickly drop into the 50s Friday afternoon, and will continue falling into the upper 40s by Sunday afternoon. The evening lows during this time will also cool considerably, bringing our first sub-freezing temperatures since that Arctic blast two weeks ago.
