01/09 Ryan’s “Misty” Tuesday Evening Forecast

Cloudy, misty, and mild are all good words to use to describe this afternoon, and honestly they’ll work for most of the rest of the week as well. Relative low pressure will linger in the Southeast until at least Thursday night, which is when our next frontal system will move in. Until then we’ll remain humid, cloudy, and continue to warm; heading into the end of the week near and above 70 degrees across South MS. The front will move through Thursday night/Friday morning and will bring thunderstorms, though severe weather is unlikely at this point. Temperatures behind the front will cool rapidly, dropping into the low 50s by Saturday and the upper 40s by Sunday. Overnight lows during this time will fall below freezing by Saturday night, but will warm into the upper 30s again by the time we begin the next work week.
