Pass Christian Fire Department reminds residents how to properly dispose of old tires

PASS CHRISTIAN, Miss. (WXXV)- The Pass Christian Fire Department is taking time to remind residents never to dump tires on the side of the road.

Instead, they remind all that Harrison County has a place that accepts old tires for proper disposal.

That location is the Rocko-McFarland Household Hazardous Waste Site on Lorraine Road in Gulfport.

It’s open the second Saturday of each month from 8 a.m. until noon. Weekday appointments are available by calling 228-896-0206.

There is a limit of getting rid of five tires per visit with a maximum of 25 tires per household per year.

Tires must also be off the rim and no tractor tires are accepted.
