01/29 Ryan’s “Weather 180” Monday Afternoon Forecast

After comparing last weekend’s conditions to today, it’s clear we’ve done a complete weather 180 and the sunny, dry conditions are here to stay for a few days. While we remained on the warmer end of things today, continued cooling through the night will bring a sunny and mild days, but we’re in for a few chilly nights in between. Tonight will drop into the mid 30s on the water front while inland areas will be closer to freezing. The breezy wind and cold air will combine to create wind chills in the low 30s and upper 20s, but still above the “hard freeze” conditions that have been so frequent recently. Tomorrow will cool into the mid 50s, but with clear skies and plenty of sunshine. Temperatures will rise quickly after Wednesday after the high pressure center in the Southeast moves further East, bringing return flow from the Gulf inland. By Thursday we’ll see a moderate chance of showers and temperatures near 70, but a weak front will bring a quick round of cooling and clearing before yet another weekend front brings showers and thunderstorms for next Sunday. Afterwards expect another string of cool/sunny days.
