01/07 Ryan’s “Cooler, Drier” Tuesday Evening Forecast
It isn’t much cooler yet, but the temperature will fall quickly tonight. This influx of cooler, drier air is thanks to this morning’s cold front, which only brought a little cloud cover.
There wasn’t much moisture for this front to work with, so rain wasn’t an issue and won’t be again until the weekend.
Tonight’s low will fall into the upper 30s due to clear skies and light winds, and tomorrow afternoon will be similar to today’s with sunny skies and mild temperatures.
By Thursday the temperature will begin to rise quickly as our next frontal system looms to the west.
Expect clouds to move in as early as Thursday night, but significant rainfall won’t arrive until Friday. It’s still too early for the official word from the Storm Prediction Center, but it looks as if we’ll be under at least a “slight” risk for severe weather. This threat will carry into Saturday, and will likely increase as well as the cold front closes in. Be sure to stay tuned to WXXV News 25 for the latest on this developing situation.
