Warmer temperatures will not prevent COVID-19
Many people think that warm weather will kill the Coronavirus, but the World Health Organization says otherwise.
Exposing yourself to the sun or to warm weather does not prevent the Coronavirus disease. WHO says you can catch COVID-19 no matter how sunny or hot the weather is. Countries with hot weather have reported cases of COVID-19.
Many experts say the best way to protect yourself is to wash your hands and practice social distancing. Susan Russell with the Singing River Health System said, “Please stay home, away from others. This disease is a little bit different than what we have dealt with before because we don’t have something specifically to combat this disease except staying at home and not spreading it to others.”
