Thanksgiving dinners across the Coast
As families gather around the table across America tomorrow to give thanks, the citizens of Harrison County will hit the streets to make sure no one misses out on a Thanksgiving meal.
The Feed the Needy dinner will be taking place at the Lyman Community Center. Volunteers wishing to help package and deliver meals should report to Lyman Community Center in Gulfport at 8 a.m. Thanksgiving morning. Deliveries will begin at 9 a.m.
The Gulf Coast Rescue Mission is expecting to serve hundreds of delicious, home-cooked meals tomorrow from noon until 4 p.m. Volunteers are welcome and appreciated. They are asked to arrive at the Gulf Coast Rescue Mission between 11 and 11:30 a.m.
The 33rd annual free Thanksgiving dinner in Bay St. Louis will also take place Thursday. The American Legion Hall will hold a sit-down, restaurant style dinner between 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Deliveries will also be made to home-bound residents in Bay St. Louis, Waveland, and other areas of Hancock County.
