Former M.D.M.R. Boat Captain Pleads Guilty to Embezzlement

District Attorney Joel Smith announced Thursday that former Mississippi Dept. of Marine Resources (M.D.M.R.) Department Head for the Rigs to Reef Division, Kerwin Cuevas, pled guilty to one count of embezzlement and was sentenced by Judge Roger T. Clark in Harrison Co. Circuit Court.

M.D.M.R. to Open Red Snapper Season in October

The Mississippi Department of Marine Resources (M.D.M.R.) will open a recreational red snapper season in state waters every weekend in October and the first weekend in November, Executive Director, Jamie Miller, said Friday.
