Ryan’s “Foggy” Tuesday Night Forecast

Today was slightly warmer, drier, and more clear than yesterday, but it won’t last forever. Tomorrow (Wednesday aka the official start of Winter) will continue the warming trend with an afternoon high near 63, but a weak cold front will move through on Thursday morning that won’t cool much, but will bring some drier air in and clear the skies before the weekend. It’s at that point things begin to heat up. Return flow from the Gulf brings warm/moist air in, which will likely begin causing land/sea fog Friday evening. We spend the next few days in the “warm sector” of a new frontal system, so Saturday and Christmas will have temps in the 70s and a small chance of isolated showers. This system won’t move through South MS until likely Tuesday, so many coast residents may find their holiday trip home a bit rainy.
