Tomorrow night, the National Council of Negro Women is putting on a virtual town hall featuring several doctors considered to be experts on coronavirus topics. Vacant house fire in Ocean Springs

Tuesday, Jackson County responders extinguished a house fire in Ocean Springs. Fire crews, with the help of Ocean Springs Fire Department, battled a vacant house fire in the 6000 block of Washington Avenue around noon Tuesday. Mississippi Department of Corrections suspends visitation due to rise in COVID cases

Mississippi Corrections Commissioner Burl Cain announced Tuesday that to protect Mississippi’s 17,300 prisoners, MDOC is suspending all visitation in state prisons until further notice to diminish the possibility of infection from the COVID delta variant.
