Today, MSDH is reporting an additional 1,098 cases of COVID-19 in Mississippi and 50 deaths. Twenty-eight deaths occurred between August 26th and September 28th. The Jackson County Sheriff’s Department is hosting a spaghetti benefit today. All of the proceeds will benefit fallen deputy Robert Verzal’s family. Authorities have executed a massive contraband bust at the South Mississippi Correctional Facility in Leakesville.
