Pascagoula Mayor visits Washington D.C.

Pascagoula Mayor Dane Maxwell was amongst the several Mississippi mayors that made the trip to Washington D.C. last week for the U.S. Conference of Mayors.
Mayor Maxwell tells News 25 that two main points he brought up during the conference where the flood elevations and Pascagoula’s outdated infrastructure.
Maxwell says that last week’s trip was a success. He says that under his administration he will make sure his continues the dialogue with the White House to ensure that taxpayer’s money makes its way back to Pascagoula. “Networking and building relationships and things such as that is important and I’ve said this all along, that’s a problem Pascagoula has had for many years. They haven’t taken their arguments and their needs and wants to the state and federal level.”
Mayor Maxwell says he will continue working on his relationship with the White House to ensure that the City of Pascagoula benefits from the relationship.
