Pascagoula adopts Texas city in need
The City of Pascagoula is calling on the community to lend a hand to Hurricane Harvey victims after adopting a city in Texas in need of help.
Donations are starting to pile up for League City, Texas where around 83,000 were hit by the storm. The City of Pascagoula adopted the city as a sister city and officials plan to deliver the supplies next Thursday.
Donations can be dropped off to the Pascagoula Fire Station or the police department. Captain Doug Adams with the Pascagoula Police Department said, “You never know when this could be you and folks from all over the country have donated us in the past, especially with Katrina. This could be us again, hopefully it won’t be, but it’s going to happen to somebody on the Coast and that’s just part of living on the Coast. You pitch in and help your neighbors.”
Some of the supplies needed are cleaning products, towels, gloves, boots, baby wipes, bottled water and gift cards.
